Congratulations to my brother and his quartet (The Iris Quartet). They played the fiendishly difficult but fun piece Strum, by Jessie Montgomery in the regional heats of Music For Youth, and they’ve just learned that will be playing at Symphony Hall in Birmingham in July. How cool is that?
